Warber is a classical Dutch flat-bottomed boat. With only 1.20m draft, she is just perfect for the shallow Dutch waters. She has a steel hull with a wooden mast and traditional wooden asymmetric side daggerboards. The previous owner designed the boat together with Van Oosanen Naval Architects, with the aim of creating a classic boat with racing capabilities. She was launched in 2012 and last winter she underwent a thorough refit. A new mast was stepped and all external gear such as winches, sheets, rolling blocks and much more got replaced.
As of this season, the new owner of Warber, Gerrit Verwelius, set his goal to compete in the top of the class. With the potential of the boat and an owner who successfully raced in the Lemsteraken class with his previous boat Aphrodite, the pressure is on! Especially with the BS2, the sister ship of Warber and also fitted with SAILMON, it is expected to be a close competition.
