The BS2, Buikschuiver 2, is a Lemsteraak. This is a typical traditional Dutch 46ft, 30 ton flat bottom boat like the former Queen of the Netherlands, princess Beatrix, owns. The BS2 has a steel hull, wooden mast and wooden asymmetric side dagger boards making her ideal for the shallow Dutch lakes and tidal areas.
This family boat with 12 berths is CFD-aided designed to perform well in races. BS2’s quality on the racecourse is endorsed by her 5 consecutive Dutch National titles, which she won on her final race in 2017. Built in 2012, designed by Van Oossanen Naval Architects, owned by co-founder Peter Houtzagers, she was the first in her class to be fitted with SAILMON. To date, 3 more Lemsteraaks are fitted with SAILMON – with more to follow soon.
