If you have trouble connecting MAX via Bluetooth or to re-establishing a Bluetooth connection, please check the troubleshooting points below.
Setting up a Bluetooth connection:
- If you have previously connected MAX with the phone and try to set-up a Bluetooth network again (for example after a MAX factory reset). Make sure to ‘Forget’ the MAX under known devices on your phone before trying to set-up a Bluetooth connection again.
- If MAX does not save the Bluetooth network make sure the phone has an active internet connection shared so MAX can validate the connection during setup.
Re-establishing a Bluetooth connection:
- MAX will prioritize known a WiFi network over a known Bluetooth network, you can manually select and connect to a known Bluetooth network under Menu > System > Connections > Networks.
- iPhone needs an active internet connection and Personal Hotspot enabled for MAX to successfully reconnect with your phone.
- Android needs an active internet connection and Bluetooth Tethering enabled for MAX to reconnect with your phone.
- If no active internet connection is shared with MAX, trying to connect to MAX through the phone’s Bluetooth settings it will say connected but if no active internet connection is shared the Bluetooth connection will drop again.
