INTERNATIONAL SALES MANAGER

As we’re growing rapidly, we are looking for an international sales manager. You will be responsible for developing and expanding the sales network, as well as maintaining current relationships with distributors, dealers, sailing clubs and international sailing associations. You’re a sailor or have experience in the marine-industry or sports industry. Travelling is part of your job and something you enjoy. Building and maintaining relationships new and existing is your second nature.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build a world-class dealer & distribution network via:
    • Face-to-face visits
    • Execution of boat shows & event planning
    • Develop and implement marketing materials
    • Cold calling
    • Assemble the dealer & distributors needs and requirements
    • Preparation of sales quotations & drawings with the assistance of the technical team
    • Enabling dealers with the right tools and support
  • Actively work on business development opportunities 
  • Execute existing sales & marketing plans
  • Activate BtB
  • Cooperate with Sailmonsters 
  • Initiate, develop and maintain key relationships internally and externally to reach business goals
  • Develop high-level product knowledge
  • Manage and support the launch and introduction of new products
  • Sales performance analysis – define and review important sales metrics on a weekly, quarterly, and yearly basis – Analyze consumer demand trends, product life cycles, and retail seasonality – Communicate and present key insights and opportunities to team and line manager
  • Collaborate with the customer and technical support and finance and administration departments.


KEY QUALIFICATIONS 

  • You have demonstrated (3 years plus) of relevant sales experience with BtB and BTC
  • You have demonstrated successful sales growth
  • Ability to influence people on different layers within organizations
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with customers
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Influential – Customer and partners needs can often be unique – but you’re quick on your feet and can connect with and influence the right people both inside and outside the organization.
  • Open communication – We believe that communication is the key to Sailmon’s success. You can actively listen and come up with numerous possibilities at the same time.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience preferably in the marine industry or sports industry
  • Fluent in English written and verbal, ideally French as well
  • You like sailing or you’re a big sports fan
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
